I'm sure AGL would have such support for all Australians doing it tough, payment plans etc.
Hopefully someone from AGL will come along and reply soon.
But it sound like you might need further help outside their ability.
Being indigenous, don't you have free of charge, legal / counselling / health type services local to you ?
I'm sure you have local assistance specifically to help you in negotiating these sorts of matters, and probably help you in future with advice in any matter in life you find hard.
I just did a search (which was for > aboriginal help services in states), Google AI reply has this . . . "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Australia have access to a variety of support services, including crisis support, legal aid, health services, and family support. These services are often delivered by Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and aim to be culturally safe and community-led. "
And below that AI response there are legal services listed for every state.
13YARN (139276) is a phone support service for aboriginal people covering almost all possible needs, that might be a good start, and they can direct you to somewhere local in your area / state.
Hope you find that support and get back to positive territory.
