Charge to switch to time of use tariff

I have just completed an online chat with an agent to switch to battery rewards plan, and wanted to also change from single rate to time of use tariff.  We have solar and battery and rarely use much from the grid.

The chat agent advised it would cost almost $200 to change tariffs.  I already have a smart meter installed (house is only 2 years old).

is it normal to have this charge?
thanks for any advice.

Hi @BeachGirl

Thank you for your post.

Depending on the distribution area, there are fees that we do need to advise you of when organizing a tariff change.

Thanks, Chris

@BeachGirl

If I was you I would look at changing Retailers.

But If you don't have a smart meter......

Cheers Neil
