Change of billing cycle without consent

Why did AGL send me an email 4 days before my bill stating my billing will become monthly unless I contact to opt out? Is there a way for make sure AGL does not automatically change my preferences without my consent?

I find this very concerning.

Do as I did,

Log into you AGL account.

Go to Billing and Payments from the top right hand corner where it says your name it should have a drop down menu.

Then go to "Bill Frequency" edit and select Quarterly save and you are done.
