Hey @Gavin1

We’re really sorry this is happening, it’s frustrating when messages like “check your bill” don’t feel genuine. Keeping your account safe is important to us, and there are a few simple ways to spot if it’s really AGL.

Here’s what to look out for:
  • We’ll never ask for your personal banking or financial details.
  • We’ll never threaten to disconnect you on short notice, we’re required to give multiple warnings first.
  • We won’t ask for your one-time verification code unless you’ve contacted us and we’ve sent it to confirm it’s you.
If you’re ever unsure, the safest option is to ignore the message or hang up, then contact us directly using official channels or report it. You can also learn more about how to stay safe here.

Thanks for raising this, it helps us keep our community aware and protected.
