Incorrect electricity bill for the last quarter

I have received my latest electricity bill, which is over $600. This is significantly higher than my usual bills, and I have never had a bill this high in the past.

I believe there may be an issue with the meter reading or billing. Could you please investigate this bill and confirm whether my electricity meter is correctly assigned to my property and not being shared with another property?

I have also compared my usage with the same period last year, and the difference appears to be unusually large. We have been using electricity in the same way as usual and there has been no significant change in our household energy consumption.

  • Check the meter reading and billing period.
  • Confirm that the meter is correctly linked to my property.
  • Confirm that the meter is not shared or recording electricity usage from another property.
  • Compare the current usage with the same period last year.
  • Check whether there may be a faulty meter or incorrect reading.

Please investigate and let me know why this bill is significantly higher than my normal usage.

Thank you.

@Arunhsm

I would suggest that you look at the pricing on your bill, on the 1st July you went onto new rates, compare that to your previous bill. In SA this was a significant increase...

Cheers Neil
