Usage Times

Hi AGL team,

I have been carefully reviewing the usuage times in the app especially after installing the solar panels.

The kw usage numbers appears inconsistent and I have a high confidence that the time intervals are inaccurate at least for my app.

For example, some days the usage appears only 6kw which jumps to 20kw the very next day. I have been watching the high usage items such as washing machine, dryers which have been used quite consistently for example on two consecutive dates both on sunny days, however the reporting in the app appears inconsistent. 

Secondly, about times, for example I tested with ducted reverse cycle ac on for most of the night from 12am 13Feb to 4am 13Feb but in the app the usage shown is minimal matching those nights where only a light in on (0.02kw per h).

Could you please fix or address this potential bug.

Hi Syed,

This is definitely not an issue of solar system output fluctuations. I'm referring to two periods where the grid energy used was 0 from 10am to 4pm. The real question is is the timing vs usage correctly synchronised in AGL app?

I faced the same challenge in my previous property without solar panels where I plotted a graph of usage vs time and it showed my usage went up (not even constant) from 12am to 6am. How is that possible. It's only possible when few more lights or machines are getting turned on every hour more than the previous hour which is not possible in my case during sleep time. AGL were unable to provide a justification. The only plausible cause would be that the times are not sync'd correctly in the app or web to usuage.

If your USAGE was 0 from 10:00 to 16:00 then your solar supplied all of the electricity that you consumed during that time.

Increase usage from 00:00 till 06:00 can be explained as this is the time when your hot water is being heated
