Thanks for the reply. The experience dealing with Telstra sounds familiar☹️. I like to reuse the Smart Modem if possible as it provides good wi-fi coverage for our house. Going by the published AGL eero6+ modem coverage of 140sqm, I will need booster units which hopefully should pay for themselves with the savings after switching.

Hi there, I'm in the same situation with the Telstra Gen 2 Smart Modem (Arcadyan LH1000) on their nbn 50/18 plan and considering moving to the AGL nbn plans. I've asked Telstra and they didn't or wouldn't tell me whether the modem is locked to their network. Have you had any success reusing the Gen 2 modem?

Hi came across this post when searching online for reusing the Telstra Smart Modem for AGL internet services. Mine is the Gen 2 made by Arcadyan (LH1000). Does anyone know if this model is compatible? It currently shows IPoE routed mode for Telstra internet but has PPP Credential Setting (I assume for switching to PPPoE) with username/password that can be changed. When I chatted with the AGL help desk, they said the Gen 2 can be used for AGL internet if it is not locked to Telstra. When I contac ...
