Re: Demand Tarrif calculations

I'm in se Qld and I've looked at other plans but they give with one handfeed in tariff then charge more for supply, demand and normal usage, sowhen I calculate let's say my last bill plugging in..excuse the pun...thedifferent data I am better getting less feed in rate.As for me being put on a demand rate when my solar and smart meter wasinstalled with no choice, I spoke to my solar installers today and in Qld anew build will now have a smart meter with a demand rate provided by theenergy supplie ...

Re: Varying solar feed on tariff

Well that's my point I was told that getting a smart meter which I was toldI would require to get solar installed I would also be put into a demandrate. When I said I didn't want to go onto a demand rate I was told by Qldenergy regulatory Energex that in time as smart metres are installedeveryone will be out on a demand rate. Is there a sweetener? Nothing isoffered as far as I'm concerned it is just a way for AGL to get more moneyout of you. It's an absolute rip off.

Varying solar feed on tariff

I have been with AGL for 40 years. I have 6.6 kw of solar on the roof. Was forced without choice to be put on a demand rate after having a smart meter fitted again no choice. My solar savers plan gives 10 c kWh for first 14 kWh then 5 cents thereafter.Last week I visited a friend still in Qld about 45 minutes drive from our house. He tells me he just got solar panels 6.6 kw same as us and I ask him who his provider is he says he has just changed to AGL and gets 15 cents feed in tariff flat rate. ...

Re: Demand Tarrif calculations

I'm on a demand tariff after I got 6.6 kw of solar added, I didn't ask to be on a demand tariff just had no choice. This isn't China we are not a communist state, choice is freedom of speech. To me the calculation for demand tariff is nothing less than a total rip off. I could be on holiday for 30 days of the month then return on day 31 use power to heat and cook on that day during the time of 4-9 pm and then get charged for the entire month when I never used any power during demand. If that is ...
