Confusing, Will Country South Australia have smart meters and if so who pays?

As I live in country SA, will I need to have a new smart meter? If so who will be paying for it? As I have already paid for a smart meter for solar that I do not own!

Thanks for reaching out!

You will only be required to pay for a digital meter upgrade after 1/12/2017 if you specifically request for your meter to be upgraded. If your existing meter reaches the end of its lifespan, or if it becomes faulty and needs to be replaced as a result, you will not be required to pay for this change!
