Fix location on the internet

Google and other online maps put me an hr away from my house when on my computer and connected to the internet. Is there a way to make this location more accurate? Request a different IP address?

Google obtains your location by various methods.

You can accurately set your location and tell your computer to use this all the time.

You phone easily does this as it has GPS to help.

Do a google search and you will find how to set your location in google maps.
