You are right, you get 2 weeks to settle the invoice from the day it is issued, if you have only gotten a week, then it sounds like your mail has been delayed.
If you would like to continue to receive your bills via paper but also know when they are due as soon as they are issued, you can use your online AGL My Account to see your next billing cycle.
