Gas bill too high

Hi,   

Billing period 30 Aug - 27 Oct 2023 

 

Normally, my gas bill ranges from $200 to $300 for a billing period. However, for this particular billing period, it has spiked to $854.17. We still have the same number of people in the house, and my mum usually cooks in the garage where we use Swap’n’Go gas, which is separate from the AGL supply. There must have been an occurrence of error or something wrong with the meter that caused the bill to be 4 times higher than usualCould AGL teams help me to resolve this problem?

Hi there,

Sorry this happened to you. I just opened my latest bill today (3rd November 2023) and the meter reading is WRONG

Previous bills have been $150 - $200

Current bill $498  And we were overseas for half that billing time. 

Check your meters people, take a photo of the reading and send it to customeread@agl.com.au and also call AGL to get the bill adjusted.
