Type 4 Digital Meter Question

My house is getting solar soon (not currently with AGL, although we are looking at joining cause of the FiT).

I understand we will get a Type 4 Digital Meter once we get the solar system installed.

Are we forced on to a Time of Use tariff with this new meter, or can we still be metered on a single-rate tariff?

Thanks!

Re: Type 4 Digital Meter Question

Hi solarsaver,

Welcome to the AGL Community!

When your meter upgrade is completed, your new meter will inherit the same tariff as your previous meter. If this is a single-rate tariff, then you will continue to receive this.

Cheers,

Jayden
