Received a card in the letter box this morning from Jemena Gas. It said that they couldn't read our gas meter because of access issues, etc. There are no such issues at our place. A Jemena rep informed me that all customers are being carded because of NSW Government regulation "this month" due to CoViD lockdowns. Yeah, right.
When I logged into the AGL website to enter today's gas meter reading manually, the system informed me that the estimated gas bill had already been processed and was on the way!
So even if Jemena had read the meter today, it would have been too late. Perhaps a little better management by the wholesaler and retailer might be helpful in saving cost and convenience? Not impressed, AGL.
