Use the word "GAS" or "ELECTRICITY "instead of "ENERGY".

Hi @arnie , can you be more specific about the context where this is causing problems for you?

Hi David , Sorry I thought it was clear. Looking through my receipts to see what and what not I have paid. The word energy does not tell me what payment I missed.
GAS ? ELECTRICITY? Use the word. ( in the receipt ) thanks.

I've seen comms from AGL that fit this need, though I can't recall all circumstances.

For example, I received an email with the subject "Important information about your energy rates", but the body only referred changes to my gas rates. Be specific at all times, unless it is impossible to be so. So the above should have been "Important information about your gas rates".

Another example would be "here are the details of your new energy plan with us", which then said "welcome to your new energy plan", "We've now transitioned you to your new energy plan", before saying "You'll find all the important details for your electricity plan" later.

Direct debit transactions, "AGL SALES PTY LT - Direct Debit", could benefit from similar treatment.

Clarity is key.

Thanks, Simon

Hey @snowcoveredpeak, thanks for this feedback and suggestions - i'm going to pass it on to the teams and come back to you with some reasoning behind it all.

Cheers, Basil
