Re: Controlled Load Meter required with Solar & heat pump ?

Cheers NeilC,Appreciate your time.Perhaps I'm not in my email as often as I should be...I will be exploring the removal of the CL Meter, if in fact, my HP IS connected through it.Your note of battery backup is priceless !First stop - check the operation times and go from there. Many Thanks !Mr T.

Controlled Load Meter required with Solar & heat pump ?

I just upgraded to a Smart Meter and usage results are now starting to populate. The controlled Load Meter was also replaced.I can see a very high drain on consumption from 1am - 2am.This can only be Hot Water through controlled Load.I have Solar and recently upgraded to an iStore 270L Heat PumpIs the Controlled Load Meter now obsolete with better savings had by running the Heat Pump say 10am-3pm on a standard plan (solar sponge) Shoulder Tariff ?Or how do I go about switching the Heat Pump usage ...
