Totally agree with you. I haven't even got my first bill yet, only confusing emails saying my bill has "changed". Am now looking for a provider that will actually talk honestly, if there is such a thing.

Totally agree with you. I signed up with such a plan, haven't even received my first bill yet, and I get a couple of emails full of jargon saying my bill was "changing". I presume going up, otherwise they wouldn't try to hide the fact.

I received a text message from AGL today 1 August reminding me that the deadline for reading the meter was 30 July ie two days ago! Would have been great to have received it on 29 July.

Communications breakdown

I agree with other posts about AGL dysfunctional comms. Emails saying my bill "has changed" with lots of jargon but no clear information whether the bill is going up or down. I presume up, otherwise AGL wouldn't try to hide it. Also the message and phone systems are totally useless. The phone contact should at least tell customers if they are 2nd in the queue or number 2000. It's pointless hanging on with no idea of how long for. The chatbot is even more useless.
