Hello,

I am thinking about joining AGL VPP as I recently installed a FoxESS battery.  I don't see FoxESS batteries supported, just wondering if they will be

I have an AC coupled setup between my SolarEdge inverter and FoxESS inverter and battery. SolarEdge manages my solar panels as my panels have SolarEdge optimisers.

Here's a summary of my setup

  • Solar PV System: SolarEdge inverter with power optimizers on the panels. Approximately 7.5kwh system, grid-tied with export limiting.

  • Battery: Fox ESS EQ4800 high-voltage lithium (LiFePO4) battery, 9-module configuration (L9 scalable setup):

Thank you

I had a search, obviously the AGL site say not compatible.

Found what I think is same question from you on the AGL facebook, where they said no.

A google AI response is confusing, one says yes for VPP with retailers like AGL, another says no also, leading to the AGL page.

They are probably working towards more battery brands, but at this stage it looks like a no.

But you can participate in the Battery Rewards thing, which is as good as cash with giftcards that can be used for just about anything you want to purchase.

Thank you, I didn't realise the battery rewards plan was a separate offering. Something to look into.

I'll give AGL a ring just to see if they have plans for FoxESS battery support.

Cheers

Hi @Boo

On our webpage with information regarding the Virtual Power Plant, we do have a list of eligible systems which are currently supported.

Thanks, Chris
