SA smart meter?

My meter had to be changed when I had solar panels put on the roof, at a cost to us, with AGL, thought it was a smart meter but still needs access for reading. What sort of meters were the old ones changed over to in South Australia with AGL then?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community! 

By the sounds of it your previous basic meter would have been removed and exchanged for an import/export meter to record your consumption and generation post solar installation. These meters are still owned and operated by SA Power Networks and access would need to be provided. 

The digital meters that we are offering are able to be remotely read. If you would like more information please read this article already published on the Community.
