Surprised that this isn't coming up in any search, but I'm trying to work out how to disable the annoying text messages AGL send every month (sometimes multiple times) about upcoming payments. I completely understand texting people if their payment is overdue but I've never been late on a payment.
Sadly there's no way to report it as junk and all I can do on an iPhone is block it but it still shows up in your message list, the block only disables notifications.
And I can't see any way to disable these alerts in the online profile.
Any ideas? I tried calling them a couple of months ago and despite requesting it I am still receiving.

The problem is that you can't easily opt out. When I go to get in touch with your customer service team the chat option is marked as unavailable and all that I can do is try to call. And of course you know how poor that always is!
You are spamming me and I do not appreciate it. Especially when I do pay on time. Please fix your systems and make an opt-out option for people like every other spamming business does.
The other issue is the wording you use when sending the text message. It is alarmist and completely unnecessary - it is a veiled attempt at bullying IMHO as the bill isn't due at all when you send the text. Please escalate this and get it resolved as soon as possible.
