Investigations are continuing into the incident yesterday afternoon at Liddell power station.
AGL is continuing to support the injured employees and their families.
The employee transported to Singleton Hospital for treatment was able to go home last night.
The employee airlifted to John Hunter Hospital was transported to Royal North Shore Hospital last night for specialist treatment to burns on his hand.
Production from the power station remains unaffected.
Just before 3pm today an electrical incident occurred during maintenance work on a transformer at AGL Macquarie’s Liddell power station in the Hunter Valley.
Ambulance, fire and police attended the site.
One worker suffered burns to the face and hands and was airlifted by the Westpac Rescue helicopter to the John Hunter hospital in Newcastle for treatment and another was taken by ambulance to Singleton hospital with minor burns.
Up to 300 employees and contractors working on site at the time were evacuated.
The injured worker’s families were notified and counsellors will be made available to them and employees.
