I am an AGL shareholder and want better returns. My idea is to offer green options as a service rather than leaving it to the customer to buy solar panels and batteries. What this means is the customer signs up for a monthly service plan which includes fully serviced panels and batteries. AGL get to depreciate the asset and deduct financing costs, buy equipment in bulk at discounted prices, and provide better value and service to customers. I'm no expert and I'm sure there will be hurdles, but I've seen examples in other industries where products are offered as a service. Perhaps, initially offering it to business customers before moving on to residential customers.
