Metering Capital Charge

Switched-on

I believe the Metering Capital Charge is to cover the cost of my meter and maintainance.

Can someone then explain to me why I have to pay this when my house is 40 years old ( a long time to be paying off a simple meter ), meter is in excellent condition and knowbody has ever had to do any maintanence on it?

Hi @25cats

Metering capital charge is applicable to all customers as part of the contract This ensures ongoing maintenance of the meter itself. Your meter being 40 years old without any issue is pretty amazing though and I would say quite the anomaly.
