I'm sorry to see that your latest bill has come as such a shock to you! Whenever you receive a bill that is higher than expected, the best place to start is by talking a look at the 'quality' of your meter reading on the second page of your bill. If your bill states that your meter reading was 'estimated' then it may be the case that you have not been billed correctly to your true usage.
In the event that you have a smart meter at your property, we always encourage our customers to log in online here to take a look at the breakdown of your electricity usage for the last quarter which can help reconcile which appliances have been using the most power in your property.
It is crazy. aGL is another dumb company. That pretends that energy prices are fair.
Why not on day one say.
This is why your electricity costs so much. This is our of our control. And this is what we suggest. Pay $10 per week.
Or $4 per person per household etc. per week and then you won’t get a shock.
Not should be routine !!!!!!!!!! The fact that AGL does not do that. Is because it simply doesn’t care. It just pretends to. Sick of this AGL.

I can definitely understand the concern here with electricity rates and prices. We have a range of different payment plans which looks at your usage and provides an estimate amount to pay on a weekly, fortnight or monthly basis.
