Hello 🙂 I signed up for AGL three months ago and could not add my concession card over the internet as it gave me an error. I recently rang AGL and they could not add my concession card either, saying they will send it to the back end team. I received by bill a few days later and the concession discount was only applied from the day they applied the card. A telephone guy said that they do not back date concession cards . I am pretty sure other energy companies do, plus it is their error as I could not add it through the website. Am I on the right path here?

Each individual state government has different rules regarding backdating concessions and energy retailers have no say over these unfortunately! However in the event that an error on our end has delayed your concession details being added to your account, then exceptions can be made.

I have experienced an unexpected incident with AGL. I have tried to backdate my concession, but they refused to do that and regrettably, it was going very badly today. I have added 2 screenshots indicating backdate concessions, which definitely means I can apply for a concession up to 12 months of period. I have already paid the bills & asking for a concession but he/she refused to do so. I made my payment timely always and made no amendments even I was paying more compared to the competitors market price. It was an unprecedented situation for all of us and needed a little support. Today's unexpected conversation realise high reputability of AGL make less accessible to get the support the consumer need. I hope they maintain better relationships with their customers.
