name transfer

I'm taking over from a lease and the tenant uses AGL - i'm simply wanting to add my name to the account and remove hers. How do I go about this?

I have called AGL but was told to call back tomorrow (Monday) but would like to see if i can sort this out today.

Hi livasher,

Unfortunately you can not add your name to a preexisting account, and you will need to open up a new account of your own which will automatically close the previous tenants account. You can arrange this by either lodging a request online from agl.com.au, or by getting in touch with our web chat team here!
