Hi, can anyone tell me what the hot water meter (in my Sydney apartment) reads? I did a test by taking a reading, then I measured off exactaly 10 litres of hot water and then took and end reading. The meter reading changed by 67. Obviously the meter is not reading in litres or the difference would have been 10. So what is it reading showing me and how do AGL determine my bill as surely they need to know how many litres of hot water I am using? Also, why a multiplier of 10? Same time last year I had a bill of approx $187, this bill, $481. Still one person, no leaky taps or pipes etc (yes I had my plumber friend check). So why the huge increase? I can't seem to ever get any answers from AGL.
Hi, further to my earlier post, is it true that the 1st Black Dials [white numbers] record KiloLitres and the RED numbers record only Litres? If this is the case then my meter which was not long replaced is incorrect [see my test results in my comment above]
Can anyone from AGL confirm that this is how the hot water meter is recording.. in KL's and Litres?
I am still waiting for clarification, I would like some others to also say how are we being billed, as a customer a clear bill that says either we charged hot water in litres or for gas I really am mystified how this Meter supposedly works, is the Meter read with the black dials or the red. Nothing on my bill says anything about hot water.just know I am paying a lot for having a shower. I think his problem is affecting more than just a few.
