The AGL Rewards program is free to our valued electricity and gas customers. It's our way of recognising and saying thank-you for being an AGL energy customer.
With AGL Rewards you get access to great discounts from some of Australia’s favourite brands. It's the place where you'll find treats for you, your family and friends for less.
If you're new to My Account, you'll need to register first. Then you'll be prompted to accept AGL Rewards Terms and Conditions and activate AGL Rewards.
If you've used My Account before, simply go to the Rewards tab for the link to take you through to AGL Rewards.
Once you've registered for AGL Rewards in My Account, go to the Rewards tab, and then click "Keep exploring" to view offers. If you see an offer you like, follow the directions to redeem the offer from the retailer directly.
Make sure you check out our terms and conditions and any terms and conditions on the retailer’s site.

We’ll install three smart devices: one on your air conditioner and a second on your switchboard so we can remotely manage your air conditioner via your home’s WiFi network. A third device, a smart air conditioner controller, will be installed to provide you with pre-cool capability, in case your air conditioner is compatible. This device will also provide us visibility of the temperature and humidity in the room with your designated remote-controlled air conditioner, which will allow us to further understand and optimise your comfort.
The AGL Peak Energy Rewards Managed for You program is a pilot program which is testing new ways to reduce demand on the electricity grid to help ensure there’s enough energy for everyone, when it’s needed.
Between 31 March 2018 and 31 March 2019, when the electricity grid is experiencing high demand, we’ll notify pilot participants that a “peak event” will occur. During each peak event, which will last up to two hours, your air conditioner will be remotely adjusted to run at 50% of its normal power use unless you opt out.
After each peak event, your air conditioner will automatically be returned to your previous power use and in return you’ll receive financial rewards.
AGL Rewards is a digital membership program, so you will not receive a physical card. You can instantly access the benefits when you logon to My Account via your smartphone, tablet or PC once you’ve registered for AGL Rewards.
If you don’t have a smartphone and wish to claim a dining offer, follow the steps here to view and print your digital membership card. Please note, you may be required to show ID at some establishments.
If a listed establishment refuses an AGL Rewards offer, contact Ambassador Card within 30 days and provide your membership name and number, a copy of the bill and the details of the claim so we can arrange for you to be reimbursed. Contact Ambassador Card via email firstname.lastname@example.org or on 1300 397 079.
On the offer page click ‘redeem offer’, from there you’ll be taken directly to the retailer’s website to purchase your items at a discounted rate from the retailer.
It is important to familiarise yourself with any terms and condition that may apply to an offer before redeeming any reward as these are determined by the retailer and not AGL.
You should also make sure to follow any directions in the offer, for example if a promo code has been provided, enter the code at check-out for the discount to be applied.
If you’re planning on moving, please contact us and let us know your future address. If it’s in NSW, we can check if your new property has a digital meter and if your new air conditioner is still eligible to participate.
If you have an electric vehicle, we can also discuss the potential options for moving your Schneider EVLink Smart Wallbox to your new property.
In the Peak Energy Rewards Managed for You program, during the specific peak event, AGL will remotely control your air-conditioner by sending a signal to the smart devices which automatically changes your air conditioner power down to 50% of its normal power. To participate, you will need to ensure your Wi-Fi is connected so the devices can remotely change your air conditioner.
At the end of each peak event, we’ll send a signal to your air conditioner to change your settings back to manual. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure your air conditioner is always returned to working as it was before the peak event, and will only control your air conditioner during the set peak event unless you opt out.
Yes! Not only do you get a competitive gas deal, but you have access to hundreds of offers via our AGL Rewards program for dining, cinemas, retail, travel, accommodation, and so much more. Once you’re an AGL customer, to become an AGL Rewards member simply follow the instructions here. When you’ve successfully activated your AGL Rewards membership, to view your special offers logon to My Account and click the ‘Rewards’ tab.
The AGL Peak Energy Rewards Managed for You program is available to existing AGL homeowners in New South Wales with a digital smart meter. Unfortunately, you need to be an existing AGL customer.
You’ll also need to have a WiFi connection. You will be requested to enter your WiFi login details into the device during installation as the devices are controlled via WiFi.
In addition, customers will need to have a wall or ducted air conditioning which is less than five years old and is compatible with all three smart devices being installed in your premises. Once you register, we will be able to verify whether your air conditioner is compatible during the home visit.
Participation in the program will not affect your broader AGL electricity plans or rates.
We suggest you allow up to three hours for the home visit. The compatibility inspection will take approximately 30 minutes, and if we confirm that we can proceed with installation of the devices then this may take up to two and a half hours. We will endeavour to make it as quick as possible.
No. If you do not want to participate in a specific peak event in the Managed for You program, you can opt out by emailing email@example.com or calling our customer service number on 1300 025 928 from 8.30am to 6pm AEST Mon – Fri. We’ll remove you from that specific event.
For the Managed for You EV program, you can opt out before and during the event via the ChargeFox electric vehicle management app. If you’d like to speak to one of our team for queries or to opt out, call our EV customer service team from 9am to 5pm on 1300 001 515.
Please note you won’t receive the participation incentive if you opt out. We encourage you to send these requests as early as possible so that they reach us in time for us to remove the adjustments as quickly as possible. We will endeavour to undertake the changes as soon as we receive notification from you.
Each peak event will run up to maximum of two hours and you will need to participate for the full event to be eligible for a reward. There will be a maximum of eight peak events during the first year of the trial.
We may also be in touch to run a simulation event to gain learnings from the program throughout the trial which you’ll also receive financial rewards for and is included in the total eight events.
After you’ve registered for the program and accepted the terms and conditions, our supplier’s specialist EV installer will be in touch to organise to visit your home and verify your smart meter and switchboard for installation of a Schneider EVLink Smart Wallbox charging station.
If your home is compatible, the EV installer will complete the installation of the Schneider EVLink Smart Wallbox charging station, at the same time as the site inspection. We will also provide you with details on how to set up ChargeFox electric vehicle management app on your smartphone.
We suggest you allow up to two hours for the home visit. Once we’ve successfully completed the compatibility inspection we will proceed with the Schneider EVLink Smart Wallbox installation. We will endeavour to make it as quick as possible.
