May I ask whether you mean proactively requesting an extension on your bill due date, or reporting to AGL that you have made a payment on an overdue bill?
If you are referring to requesting an extension, this is a feature that is already on the backlog and being prioritised against other features. We absolutely do recognise the need to display payment assistance options in the app and are working on it.
If you are referring to the latter, I can confirm that making a payment on an overdue bill clears within 48 hours, at which point the account balance updates and overdue status disappears.
