So unimpressed with the AGL App. We had gas powered Hydronic Heating installed 2 months ago. I phoned AGL after a week or so of having it to confirm that the $$ costs it was showing were accurate. The girl checked against my meter reading and it was very close.
For the last couple of months I've been checking the App consistently and feeling like we could run our heating a bit less frugally given the amount the App was showing me.
Three days before the bill was ready to be created, the App took my usage from $460 - $63,500!!!
I phoned AGL to get little to no sympathy or empathy. Obviously, I was sure it was a mistake but in the middle of a pandemic, sleep is hard enough.
The good news is, it wasn't $63,500 but it WAS $1131, more than twice what I was expecting from the App. I expected a margin of error but really?? Whats the point in even showing Gas usage on the App if it is so wildly out? Not cool AGL
