Just had a worker turning up to change 3g setting on power board. No identification and no notification. Not comfortable saying yes but let him go ahead. Please confirm this is a legitimate request.

When you say the worker was "unidentified" I must assume you asked him/her for his/her ID, right? And if he/she said something like "I don't have any ID", of course you wouldn't let them into your house, right? It isn't rude to ask for ID, nor is it rude to politely say something like "I'm sorry, I don't feel comfortable letting you into my house unannounced and without any ID - please come back after your company contacts me to make an appointment, thanks". There are SO many scammers around these days. Even just "checking" your 3G settings might reveal information that they could use down the track for some nefarious activity. Always play it safe. Cheers.
