topic Extra Powerwall? in Solar, Batteries & Electrification

I have the PW installed under the VPP plan.

Is it possible to have an additional PW installed as it would get good use during summer.

In my case it would easily be charged as currently I am generating 38kWhr and using 10.

Dave

Hi Dave,

You might want to read my article on the cost of running a battery under the VPP. You may give yourself longer time in a grid outage, with the ability to run a few items,

@Dave wrote:

I have the PW installed under the VPP plan.

Is it possible to have an additional PW installed as it would get good use during summer.

In my case it would easily be charged as currently I am generating 38kWhr and using 10.

Dave

but the chances are you won’t save money, surprisingly. I’m a retired electrical engineer and I was amazed at what I found, something they don’t tell you, or something they just don’t realise.

VPP Solar Battery Costs Money to Run

Cheers,

Richard

Thanks Richard,

The pay back time doesn't come into my consideration. I enjoy the technology and the part I can play in saving/providing power.

Dave
