I have had to cancel my AGL NBN Internet plan. All went well - no issues. However, what do I need to do with the unused NBN Connection Box?

You don't need to do anything with it.

If you want it removed, I would think that you would have to pay to get it removed.

You don't need to do anything with a NBN box.
You may be able to speak with NBN and see if they can remove it for you, but that is not something we can organize this for you.
