Yes, your Netgear Nighthawk R8000 is generally compatible with FTTP (Fibre To The Premises). With FTTP, your ISP will typically provide an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), which acts as the modem. Your R8000 router then connects directly to this ONT via its Gigabit Ethernet WAN port to provide the Wi-Fi network for your home. You'll simply need to configure the router's WAN settings (often DHCP or PPPoE, depending on your ISP) to establish the internet connection.

Typically for the router settings being PPPoE, the details will be just your account number ACCXXXXXX etc.
