Smart meter upgrade

Hi,

We had solar installed recently and need to upgrade the meter to a smart meter.

We live a 3 townhouse complex and share the main switchboard with 2 other properties which already have solar and smart meters installed.

I was told a MPD is required to be installed to isolate our property from the other 2 when upgrading the meter to a smart meter.

Will an AGL technician install the MPD on the day or is this something I need to arrange privately with a level 2 electrician ?
