Controlled load - exact time it

Hi,

We are trying to track down an issue with our hot water service.

Is there a way that I can see when the exact (or nearly exact) time when energy distributor switches on/sends controlled load - other than by looking at the energy useage dowload?

We are in Endeavour Energy's zone. Postcode 2780. With a smart meter. With controlled load.

Is it an issue getting the data download and looking at the controlled load usage figures there ?

It might be you are trying to nail down finer than the possibly 30 minute interval ?

I can see when I have my timer coming on the the HWS each morning on my solar app, to within 15 mins.

Then I can check the data to assure myself this relatively new HWS timer addition is working fine.

What's the reason for needing the precise figure ?

Is there a particular issue you think is occurring on your HWS ?

Yes I was looking for a way other than from the data.

Our HWS circuit breaker is tripping and I want to see if it is when Endeavour is sending us controlled load. Since the breaker is tripped, the data shows the CL as zero.

Endeavour say to contact AGL as it is a smart meter. I was wondering if there is a daily record of when CL is activated (not just the overall time-window).

It's a bit of a mystery to me how CL works.

Although before solar on old analogue meters we never had the ability to know when that came on, with the new CL when the HWS was hooked up through that, it would come on anytime way past the normal operating time, usually 0200 / 0300, then again in shoulder during the solar soak hours for another hit, that might have been 1100 for example.

Thankfully it never came on during the peak tariff times 0600 to mid morning and mid afternoon to midnight.

As the CL breaker is tripping, I'd say neither the supplier (Endeavor) or retailer (AGL) will be responsible for this.

You'll most likely have to get a sparky to check it out, maybe they can test it if the meter has a boost button, which it should.

They can hit boost repeatedly and see if they can work out where that's a problem when the short occurs.

Hi - we are in postcode 2780, Endeavour Network.

I wanted to know when controlled load is available, now that it is not just overnight.

For example Energy Australia have produced this very clear page (for Ausgrid) - I am looking for the equivalent info from AGL (for Endeavour).

AGL does have this on (at least) my plan page . . .

From overview page on the website login, click 'View plan details'.

In the app, the plan tariffs can be viewed, but not the times anywhere I can find . . . below usage chart, down under Settings, says 'View Plan'.

My website view plans details shows down the bottom . . .

Thanks - but no. Mine is different.

Mine states "Supply is available at this rate for nine hours overnight, usually between 10pm to 7am, Monday to Friday, as determined by your Distributor."

I contacted the distributor (Endeavour). They said talk to your retailer. So here I am.

The information on the Energy Australia (NSW, Ausgrid) page is much more detailed. I was hoping AGL might have a similar page.
