topic Monthly estimates in Meters & Connections

My current monthly estimate is double what it normally is for the whole month and we’re only just over half way through, kWh estimate is higher than any other in my bill history and been with AGL for years , nothing has changed on our end so don’t know why the estimate is so high

Seems you are not alone . . . this one posted just yesterday . . .

https://neighbourhood.agl.com.au/t5/Meters-Connections/Estimated-billing-will-be-a-massive-first-bill-unless-it-s-fixed/td-p/38958

Some of the advice there might help work through getting some data to help prove an avg days / weeks usage for bill time, although if on TOU tariff, it won't get you a $ amount . . . some advice there also to get AGL tech team onto this for an investigation.

Hi yngwie01,

Thank you for reaching out.

We can appreciate it's frustrating to not have an accurate estimate, however we cannot change the estimate unless some updated information is provided to us to verify how much is being used at the property.

If you have a basic meter you have the option to enter your own read at any point during the billing cycle, to update your cost so far and bill projection to be as accurate as possible.

Kind regards,

Megan
