    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://neighbourhood.agl.com.au/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/129649"&gt;@mathewbrt&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is an offence if you turn off the power to a property.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have a smart meter they can remotely turn it off (and do a meter read).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;With an analogue meter(s) the fuse supplying power to the property will be removed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have a stop / start order for the property the meter(s) will be read and the power will remain on.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi - moving home shortly and have arranged power to be switched on, but current residents are also with AGL, question is do I still need to turn the mains off or is it just a transition with a reading and carry on without needing to switch the meters off?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
