Any way to throttle bandwidth with eero router

Hello, is there any way to throttle the bandwidth of a device or a profile in the eero app like a Qos setting? The sqm setting in the app favors online gaming .

Or maybe use the guest network with a setting for throttling the bandwidth?

Hi Carl,

Our modem routers provided by Eero do have a SQM (Smart Queue Management) within Eero Labs. To access Eero Labs:

Open the eero app
Tap the Discover icon at the bottom of the screen
Tap on eero Labs
Switch the toggle on for any of the features

Using SQM or Optimize for conferencing/gaming provide the same support as throttling bandwidth, and also be used in conjunction with Band Steering and a guest network

Tried the SQM prior posting, and noticed a slowdown on the smart tv loading movies but an increase in performance on online game updates and gameplay of the kids.

I was hoping for throttling down the bandwidth for some gadgets or a profile or the guest Wi-Fi for that matter.

You can try to use a guest network for this, to set up the guest network,

Open the eero application
Tap the Settings icon on the bottom right
From the menu, tap on Guest Access
Toggle Enable to On

Once you have turned on Guest Access, you can edit the network name and password, you can view more on this process by going to: https://support.eero.com/hc/en-us/articles/207895123-How-do-I-share-my-eero-network-with-guests#:~:text=To%20get%20started%20on%20creating%20a%20guest%20network%2C,you%20can%20edit%20the%20network%20name%20and%20password.
