topic Port Fowarding in Internet - General

in September 2022 Alfred mentioned on another discussion that to get port forwarding set up all you need to do is ring customer service and make a request. I quote:

"Agl does support port forwarding. All you need to do is to ring up customer service and make this request. My guess is the function is not enable by default.

I had my security camera system installed and need to access it remotely. It works fine after I discussed with the agl technical support and the guy completed the task in 15mins.

Good luck to everyone." - Alfred 09-09-2022

However, when I called tech support today I was met with a very blunt response of 'we don't do that here, you need to contact your router supplier'. What I need to know is did I just end up with a terrible tech support person and I should call again at a different time or is there something else I need to do?
