idea AGL Telecommunications bill to display current plan speed in General Ideas

When you receive "AGL Telecommunications bill" currently it doesn't list the plan speed under "Service summary" , it only lists the plan name. It would be easier for customers to understand the NBN equivalent plan they are on, if this section listed the NBN speed e.g. nbn 250/25 instead of or inaddition to "Home Superfast"

Re: AGL Telecommunications bill to display current plan speed - Status changed to: Good Idea, Vote!

Hi @rvr_au - thanks for the suggestion - I can see how this might provide a bit more transparency around your bill.

If you need a reminder of what speed plan you're on, you can always open up the Overview page on the AGL app, which does display the speed of your plan:

Hello,

Adding the NBN speed tier (e.g., 250/25) to the "Service summary" section of the AGL Telecommunications bill would enhance clarity and provide customers with a better understanding of their service level. Here's why and how it could be done:

Why Include the NBN Speed Tier?
Improved Transparency: Many customers may not be familiar with the marketing names of plans (e.g., Home Superfast). Explicitly showing the speed tier (e.g., 250/25) helps them understand what they are paying for.
Easier Comparison: Including the speed tier allows customers to compare plans more easily, either for upgrades, downgrades, or switching providers.
Reduced Support Queries: Customers often contact support to confirm their plan details. This change could reduce such inquiries.
Implementation Suggestions:
Update the "Service Summary" Format:
Current Example: Plan Name: Home Superfast
Suggested Update: Plan Name: Home Superfast (nbn 250/25)
Use Consistent Terminology:
Align the displayed speed tiers with NBN Co's standard format (e.g., nbn 50/20, nbn 100/40).
Optional User-Friendly Descriptions:
For further clarity, add a brief note like: "This plan provides download speeds of up to 250 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 25 Mbps during off-peak times."
Best Regards
merry678
Official Site
