In response to the reply above by Patricia, I had a quick google of the AI answer to your subject line, and this came up . . .

"In Kyogle, New South Wales, peak electricity usage hours are typically from 2pm to 8pm on weekdays. Off-peak times are generally from 10pm to 7am on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays. According to WATTever, these times may vary slightly depending on your specific electricity network and tariff. "

You can open your account details on the website login, on the website overview window, click view plan details, has all your plan rates and peak / off peak times times, as well as other interval tariff times if they exist.

(Note - On the phone app, when you click through plan details, it only shows rates, so website login is needed to see your peak / off peak times.)

I did not realise the retailer could impact these based on which plan I was buying.

I was under the impression the Peak & Off Peak times were controlled by the energy provider Essential Energy.

As Essential Energy is the only energy provider in Kyogle I thought the answer would be easier from AGL, I am surprised that Peak and Off Peak times would be different for different Plans that AGL sell. I thought the Peak and Off Peak times were related to when the grid was busiest.

I appreciate the info regarding online account and I will work with my mother to log in and check what deal she is getting.

Yes, getting onto the website account login and seeing it there is black and white is easy.

And yes, even though most states / regions in Australia usually have one supplier (here in SA it is SAPN, SA Power Networks), retailers can have different times for various plan times.

Times of various rates should also be on your mums bill, at least mine does showing all the TOU rates / times.

Your mum must be on single rate with off peak, not sure if that would be ust for a how water service, or if off peak would be there for certain hours of general use for her, that would be handy.
