I do not even know how start this complaint because it is unreal this situation. How on earth in 2 days I spent from 600 kWh to 1870 kWh?
My situation is a bit funny, I have been controlling the power saving as much I can do it (using AC strictly necessary, occasionally turn on the tv, etc) and I have been paying between $200 - $260. The last month I did a saving plan at my home because I was still feeling is bit high for one month -land I was following the meter read to see if there was any problem and checking on the app how much I am spending at that moment then days before the due day coming it was 650 kWh around that represents $225 aprox and then when I received the bill 2 days after I got 1867 kWh that mean $650. How on earth?
I called and the solution they offered me is a payment plans.
AGL company, I am completely disagree with this. I think the company should look after the customers and not doing this. I will pay because I have to, but I will quit straight away

NO RECOMMED THIS SERVCE GUYS!

Thanks

Was this based on an actual read @Carlospaez44 ?

It should say on your bill where the bill dates are (near top of 2nd page ?).

If you have a digital meter this will not apply, I'm guessing it's only an older analogue meter and this might be the case.

You should be able to get an adjustment if so and it was a wildly overstated estimated read.

When I had my old analogue meter, and no AGL online account, I once used their website chat to provide an actual read to AGL.

I had to attach a photo of the meter showing the dials / figures, which you can do in the usual way of attaching photos.

With an AGL account to access via their website, you can put an actual read into your account there.
When you open up your overview page on your account, there is an 'Enter meter read' on the right hand side to click and put a read (or readings) in.

I think it's best to do the enter meter reading BEFORE your bill is issued though, and use chat to explain the bill is far overestimated, can they adjust . . . have the photo ready to send.

With my case, they said wait and we'll reissue the bill using the correct figures.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.
