topic Carbon emissions in Energy - General

You continually refer to carbon emissions.

What are they? I don't know of any carbon that my household emits.

Do you mean carbon dioxide - that non pollutant, invisible gas that makes up about 1% of the atmosphere and is essential for plant life to grow?

If so, perhaps you should refer to it as such rather than using the misleading term carbon, which is an entirely different thing and is not emitted by households.

Hi @ABC10. In discussions around climate change and emissions, "carbon" is commonly used as a shorthand for greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon dioxide is the most commonly discussed, but it can more broadly refer to other emissions with a greenhouse effect as well, such as methane and nitrous oxide.
