    <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hello,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I live in Queensland and have decided to switch energy providers due to AGL’s high costs. I used the Queensland Government’s website to find a more competitive provider, and the switching process is now underway.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;My AGL account is currently in credit, which includes both my regular fortnightly payments and the $1,000 government grant.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Could you please clarify whether I need to request a refund from AGL, or if the refund will be processed automatically once AGL is notified of my switch to a new provider?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I’ve looked for this information but haven’t found a clear answer.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

How is the refund processed? Is it EFT or cheque? What about the government grant portion, is that transferred to my new supplier or refunded to me?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;You will need to contact us after you have received your final bill, and all of the remaining credit, inclusive of government rebates will be available for refund.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We can issue your refund via bank account or cheque. You can call us to organise this refund on 13 12 45.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
