      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, as per many news reports, and bills received by all, power prices have gone up a heck of a lot.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All you can do is compare usage amounts, tariff pricing for those various services you have on your plan (peak, off peak, controlled load, if on TOU tariff you need to look at shoulder rate too),&amp;nbsp; the supply charge per day which has also climbed a lot, whether you bought any new power hungry appliances, and / or changed your usage habits.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's a matter of looking at plans, how they apply tariff charges, when you use power the most, minimise both usage and use power when best for your plans lower tariffs if possible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We shouldn't have to do this in our country, but are pretty much getting screwed over by the whole system including govco policies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
