Hi, I am moving house to an apartment that already has energy and gas set up so I wish to cancel my current energy and gas plans

Almost certain you will have to contact AGL and speak / chat to them.

I would take a photo of readings on your meters on your last day anyway, and keep them for perhaps a few months as your proof of final readings on your departure date.
