Refund on closed account

Are AGL running out of money?? Closed my account and requested a refund by telephone on 8th January. Promised in my account within 5 days. Rang again 22nd January, promised again refund into my bank a/c within 5 days. Rang again 30th January. Promised refund next day. Are they broke, incompetent, dishonest or just stupid?
