Hi do you charge exit fees if I was to change to another provider?

Hi Kennneth! Agl does not have lock-in contracts or charge exit fees if you change your energy plans to another provider.

Been with AGL (electricity and gas) for around 8 years with Seniors Discount. I moved to a rental a year ago and had my electricity service moved. Now, we’re leaving our rental and requested for disconnection as we’re temporarily moving into our son’s unit.

it was only then I find out that we haven’t been getting our discount and now they’ll be charging us a $14+ exit fee.

Is there anyway we can (1) adjust the account retrospectively to get the discount and (2) not get charged exit fees when we shouldn’t be charged exit fee?
