@Pseudo68 a good way to track the request would be to click the "..." or options menu on this Idea, and click subscribe. You'll get email updates when the status changes or someone posts a comment.

As a former customer (and employee) of EnergyAustralia, I was used to being able to pay my gas bill online by transferring over credit from my electricity account. If AGL don’t allow this capability very soon, I’ll go back to EA.

Hi @Ukdanny1. Thanks for the feedback. My understanding is that this feature is already being investigated, but there's no current timeframe for delivery. In the meantime, you can actually request a balance transfer by messaging us from your My Account page. Just visit https://myaccount.agl.com.au/overview and click "Message Us".

Credit Transfer Payment

I would like to see a payment method on the app for credit transfer from one account to another, when both accounts are linked. For example, my electricity is in credit, and my linked gas account is in debit. It would be nice to have the ability to transfer the available credit to pay the debit account.

Electricity has +300.00

Gas has -100.00

After transfer

Electricity has +200.00

Gas has +0.00

Hi @Ric , thanks for the suggestion. This is a request we've received a few times so I've merged your comment into the existing post. Implementing this feature as part of the app or My Account is planned, but in the meantime you can contact us via a web chat to have the balance transferred.

To transfer funds in the app from one account to another would be useful. I would use this to transfer any credit from solar to the gas account.

Sounds like a great idea if it can be implemented on both desktop and via the AGL mobile app. Are they are updates on the process of getting this achieved?

Hi AGL,

It's been 1.5 years since requesting this feature. It is evident that many others also want the ability to use the AGL app to pay Gas bills from their Power credit without the hassle of contacting AGL. This would also free up your agents. You should lessen the need to contact AGL.

What is the status?

AGL should ask Energy Australia how to do it - they have had it for years
